TANDEM Cat® Professional Education

Outcome Methods

TANDEM was built in a high-volume clinical practice. That creates unusual access to cases and operational learning. It also creates a responsibility to show how claims were defined, counted, limited, and reviewed.

Make the work inspectable

Not every form of knowledge carries the same weight

  • Published peer-reviewed work.
  • Submitted or in-review manuscripts.
  • Structured internal cohort data.
  • Case reports and case series.
  • Operational observations.
  • Proposed frameworks and hypotheses.

Definitions, denominator, period, and limitations

  • What was measured and why.
  • Source system and reporting period.
  • Inclusion and exclusion criteria.
  • Numerator, denominator, and missing data.
  • Whether the analysis is prospective or retrospective.
  • Known limitations and conflicts.
  • Version and review date.

Evidence informs education without replacing case judgment

Cases and cohorts help learners recognize patterns, ask better questions, and understand why the system evolved. They do not guarantee that the same outcome will occur in every cat, facility, team, or setting.
