Learn at your pace
Self-paced professional study
This is a self-paced professional program. Some learners complete the academic curriculum in approximately eight weeks; others take longer as they balance work, practice, case documentation, and assessment preparation. Progress should reflect demonstrated learning—not an artificial deadline.
Curriculum
Seven phases, one connected practice
The public overview is organized by professional practice phase. Enrolled learners retain the complete LearnDash lesson, topic, quiz, progress, and final-exam experience.
01Orientation and Standards
Program orientation, learner expectations, safety, ethics, documentation, and the published credential standard.
02Observe
Clinical observation, feline behavior, temperament, skin and coat assessment, and recognition of factors that affect the grooming plan.
03Support
TANDEM Touch®, lower-stress handling, environmental support, groomer safety, and communication before and during care.
04Perform
Coat and claw work, bathing, tools, core grooming techniques, and safe adaptation for the individual cat.
05Reassess Complex Cases
Special-needs, geriatric, medically complex, fractious, matted, and other cases that require ongoing reassessment.
06Professional Practice
Client communication, realistic expectations, records, ethics, teamwork, and responsible professional decision-making.
07Certification Assessment
Chapter knowledge checks, written examination, case evidence, and practical review against the published standard.
Education and certification are distinct.
Tuition provides education, assessment, feedback, and the opportunity to meet the published standard. Purchase and course completion do not automatically guarantee certification.
