The Certified TANDEM Cat Groomer™ certification mark is owned and administered by TANDEM Cat, LLC.
The certification mark indicates that the authorized individual has met TANDEM Cat, LLC standards relating to trauma-informed feline grooming methodology, awake and consent-based handling practices, feline behavioral stress recognition, feline-specific safety protocols, and ethical grooming standards.
What the Certification Mark Indicates
Authorized users of the Certified TANDEM Cat Groomer™ certification mark have successfully completed required competency evaluation and are permitted to use the certification mark in connection with qualifying feline grooming services performed in accordance with TANDEM Cat® certification standards.
The certification mark is used by authorized third parties whose feline grooming services conform to standards established and monitored by TANDEM Cat, LLC.

Use of the Certification Mark
The certification mark Certified TANDEM Cat Groomer™ may be used only by individuals authorized by TANDEM Cat, LLC and only in connection with qualifying feline grooming services that conform to TANDEM Cat® certification standards.
Certification does not constitute veterinary licensure, veterinary supervision, medical diagnosis, medical treatment, or authorization to practice veterinary medicine.
Shawn and Dan are the inventors and developers of TANDEM Cat® Care, the founders of Cats in the City, and the founders of The TANDEM Cat® Institute. This method is a safer and more relaxed experience for your cat. When the TANDEM Cat® Grooming technique is used, two or more professional groomers attend to your cat, comfortably and naturally positioning them while the lead groomer focuses on the coat. Solo grooming involves only one groomer, which is unsafe and stressful.
